Pre-natal class - Nutrition

Attended our first ante-natal class on "Nutrition for Mums-to-be at Mt Alvernia".  My main takeaway is - I have been eating too much!  Explains why I have put on 14kg since and Emma is weighing 1.6kg when most books says she should be about 1.3kg now.  It doesn't help with a number of farewell lunches, catching up with old friends and hi tea buffet with family over the past 2 weeks.

The table below is given by the speaker as a guide to how much to eat.  One serving of bread, rice or cereal means 2 slices of bread, 1/2 bowl rice and 3/4 bowl cereal or 3 medium crackers.  One serving of protein means a palm size.  One serving of dairy meains 1 cup of milk or yogurt.  One serving of veg is about 1/2 cup of leafy veg or 3/4 cup of non-leafy veg.  Will see if I can follow the guide in the next 2 months.
